If My People 2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land. 15 – Now mine eyes will be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this temple.

Temple • Created by Solomon • Temple of the living God • 2 Corinthians 6:16 - And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. • 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Believers can pray anytime and anywhere • Humble themselves • Be willing to hear God’s Word concerning you • Manasseh • 2 Chronicles 33: 10 - And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. • 2 Chronicles 33:12 - And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, •  13 - And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God. • Pray – ask • Sin of prayerlessness leads to lack of dependence on God • Jesus asked us to pray always (Luke 18:1-8) • Pray earnestly; Psalm 62:8 - Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Seek His face – follow hard after God • Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: • Psalm 42:1 As the hart pantethafter the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. • Turn from the wicked ways – Change your ways to godliness • Ephesians 5: 10-11 - Provingwhat is acceptable unto the Lord. •  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. • Result: healing of the nation • 2 Chronicles 7: 14c - …then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
