Astrium Space Plane Concept • 4 PAX + 1 pilot in a vehicle “business jet like”, equipped with rocket engine: • Wide cabin offering excellent comfort and numerous large windows • 2 business jet standard aero engines • Lox Methane environment friendly Astrium developed rocket propulsion • Space Plane scheduled for minimum 10 years of operation, 1 flight per week, with regular exchange of the rocket engine every 30 flights • The development and production activity will involve the European sites of Astrium, of the EADS group and other industrial partners ASTRIUM/ RAeS-AAAF Presentation 12/03/08
