  3. Undergraduate Research Program • Recruited CMU faculty with NASA research funding • Recruited nationally for undergraduates interested in summer research • Focused on under-represented applicants • Sent applications to faculty who selected 3 students

  4. Surfactants in Aerosol Drug Delivery • Goal: Fundamental understanding of the fluid-solid interfacial regions • Faculty: Stephen Garoff and Robert Tilton • Laura Drasher • Study surfacants to modify the interfacial regions between an aerosol drug and lung mucus

  5. Project TRESTLE • Goal: Design a multi-agent team of robots that cooperate to construct a structure autonomously via teleoperation • Faculty: Sanjiv Singh • Yasin Sobhan • Telemetry for Roving Eye (camera robot) • Guadalupe Ramirez • Algorithms for stereo vision
