  2. Structure of Exam • Pediatric module added to General EP IBHRE Exam • Common module = 125 questions • Extended adult module = 50 questions • Pediatric / Congenital EP module = 50 questions • Test-takers select one module (175 questions)

Importance of IBHRE Exam – EP (Peds) • Addresses Strategic Plan Initiative • International • We have a permanent seat at the table (IBHRE, HRS) • MOST IMPORTANT: • Defines us as a distinct sub-specialty of Pediatric Cardiology • Defines us as distinct from adult EP • Exam topic list and EP training curriculum can interact • Opportunity for protection of credentialing eligibility

What should HRS expect from PACES? • Loyalty to HRS as the principal national organization that represents out interests • Support through membership and fellowship • Support through IBHRE exam • Responsiveness to requests for nominations • Effective work on committees • Timely completion of manuscripts, etc. • Advocacy for electrophysiology in general (not just pediatric issues) • Willingness to establish a leadership pipeline
