  5. Social The Soviet Union was the first state to have, as an ideological objective, the elimination of religion and its replacement with universal atheism. Revolts and uprisings which threatened the tsars rule

  6. Social It was rumored that Anastasia was Nicholas II’s daughter, but that was proven wrong. Anastasia was a beautiful cleaning lady. Many Russians felt that Rasputin and Alexandra were running the war behind the scenes instead of the Grand Duke Nicholas (Tsar)and his military advisors.

Nicholas did not work with other countries, which may have been one of the causes for the start of World War I. By spring 1917 the Romanov family was no longer in rule due to the growing influence of Gregory Rasputin.

He was taught at home by many Russian Academics. He knew several languages and knew military science. He inherited the throne at age of 26 after his father died in 1894. He did not want to rule Nicholas married German Princess Alix of Hesse He was classified as a naïve and incompetent leader because he was unprepared for the throne The last czar to rule over Russia
