  2. Popularly, History, and other info • Dr. Norman Walker noticed the need for an easy way to get nutrients from fruits to help peoples general health, and to treat the side effects of chemotherapy in his patients. • Juicer popularity has increased in past years due to the campaign against corn syrup in store bought juices and general health awareness of consumers. • It is much healthier and cheaper to juice your own fruits, but beverage companies are still making profits because many people are too lazy to make their own.

  3. Appliance parts and care • The juicers basic parts are the base and the pulp container. • The base contains the motor and controls. • Some parts, such as the pusher, are used to keep the users hands at a safe distance from the blades. • The screen separated the pulp into the pulp container and the juice out the spout.

  4. Operation principles • Always make sure it is assembled correctly. • Use the right setting for the fruit you are juicing. • Never put your hands in the chute for any reason; you might not keep all of your fingers. • Place a container in front of the spout for the juice to pour into. • Use the pusher tool to push chunks of fruits into the juicer while its running. • When done juicing, turn off and unplug the machine then wait until all parts have stopped moving before taking it apart.

  5. Warranty and maintenance • Two year limited warranty. • Will replace with new juicer for free if any defect is found on the appliance. • Does not cover damage caused my excessive use or misuse. • Most parts are dishwasher safe. • Store in a clean dry place. • If base becomes dirty, do not wash; wipe with damp cloth so the electronics are not damaged.

  6. Comparison brands • Large brand appliances, such as Cuisinart and Kenmore, have better reviews among consumers but have higher prices and are often more difficult to use • Smaller brand appliances, such as GE or a store brand, are much cheaper but are more likely to break and don’t have very good warranties or reviews.

  7. Work Cited • Appliance’s manual • Amazon.com • Consumers Report • Wikipedia
