    34. 2009 Membership Meeting MinutesJuly 30, 2009 in Boston, MA 1. Call to Order • The meeting was called to order by President Elizabeth Crabtree at 12:00pm ET. 2. President’s Report • Crabtree highlighted some of APRA’s successes during 2008–2009. • She also reported about some of the strategic plans the APRA Board had determined for the upcoming year. 3. Treasurer’s Report • Cannon presented an overview of APRA finances from the past year. 4. Awards Presentation • Award recipients announced and recognized: • Distinguished Service Award (sponsored by Bentz Whaley Flessner)David Lawson, WorkingPhilanthropy.com • Professional of the Year (sponsored by WealthEngine)Jennifer Ting, University of Michigan • APRA ScholarshipSharla Donohue, Courage Center 5. 2008-2009 Board of Directors • The incoming board of directors and officers were announced. 6. Retiring Board Member Recognition • Incoming President Deborah Mueller thanked Elizabeth Crabtree for her service to APRA as outgoing president. In addition, outgoing board members Christopher Cannon, David Eberly and David Shanton were recognized. 7. Adjournment • The meeting was adjourned at 2:00pm.

    37. 2009 Financial Report and 2010 Budget • 2009 Operating Revenue = approximately $1,010,000 • 2009 Operating Expenses = approximately $1,161,000 • 2010 Budgeted Revenue = $937,000 (7.2% decrease) • 2010 Budgeted Expense = $1,072,000 (7.7% decrease) APRA reserve funds are covering some operational expenses in 2010. We expect to begin replenishing reserves in 2011.

Education and Professional Development Launched the new Online Education and Training Center Responsive to many organizations’ changing needs and training budgets Create your own personalized education program Mid-Atlantic Researchers Conference held in June 2010 at University of Pennsylvania Developed and launched seven new online recorded webcasts APRA has provided education to more than 1,600 people in the past 12 months!

Membership Dues Increase • Task Force reviewed current dues rate and the services provided under it • First dues increase in at least five years Current dues: $150 for individual 2011 dues: $195 for individual beginning January 1, 2011 **Savings incentive: $175 for individual until December 31, 2010
