At that time Justinian II (r. 565-595), was the Byzantine Emperor

ACCORDING to tradition Muhammad is alleged to have said that he was born during the reign of a “just king”, meaning Chosroes I (Khusra Anushirvan), the Sasanid (Persian) monarch who reigned from 531-579 CE.
