  5. New Colombo Plan • Increase the number of Australian students in Asia • study • internships (At least 1 semester up to 1 year) • 2014 pilot program • Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore • 2015 – full implementation • Wide range of disciplines

  6. NCP: Funding & Eligibility • $100 million (5 years) • Funding covers: • host institution fees • two-way travel • living stipend • insurance • Australian undergraduates at Australian universities • 18 to 28 years • Credit recognition is essential

Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships • Australian Government Scholarship • Internationally competitive, merit-based, all fields of study • For citizens of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe and Americas • Study, Research or Professional Development in any field • Available for Australians to do the same abroad

  8. Type of the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships • Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship (Master or PhD) • Endeavour Research Fellowship / Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowship • Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Scholarship • Endeavour Executive Fellowship

  9. General Eligibility 1. Must be citizens of Thailand or citizens of the participating countries. 2. Not currently studying the program. 3. Not holding dual citizenship or permanent residency status in Australia. 4. Must have applied for and gained admission to study at a course in an Australian institution.

  10. General Eligibility (cont’) 5. Meet English language requirements set by the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships scheme 6. Recipients must commence their program between 1 January 2015 – 30 November 2015
