Medical District Parking • Public parking in the areas around the two hospitals and the greater medical office use district are highly utilized • Parking demand spills out into the residential neighborhoods • City staff have received complaints for many years • CMP project has heightened the concern

  3. Creation of New Permit Area • Similar to existing school area residential permit parking (high schools and college) • Residential fronting streets • ¼ mile from concentration of medical offices or hospital • 1-2 hr parking restriction except by permit • Only residents eligible for permits (1 per unit)

  4. Recommendation Waive the first reading and introduce an Ordinance amending Section 16.215.030 of the San Buenaventura Municipal Code to create a Medical District Residential Permit Parking Area.
