  1. FiDeL validation #1 Per Hagen (TE/MSC) FiDeL Team20.04.2009

  2. Status of LSA validation • Extracted settings from LSA Injectiontest in 2008. • Recently extracted LSA 5 TeV ramp for 2009 • Initial checking of MB main dipole circuits as used for injection tests in 2008 • I aim to speed-up my validation (clock ticking) FiDeL 20.04.2009

  3. About LSA data validation • The LSA generates a table for each circuit current during ramp. The tables has often 100 entries of {t, I} for each circuit • A linear interpolation is done for intermediate t. • Checking this data size against WISE seems feasible for all circuits rather than to check only a few “snapshots”. • Thanks to BE/OP (Marek, Cyril, Grzegorz) for making a new version of the LSA Settings Extractor • It dumps data for multiple circuits in “one go” • I have used it to dump most of the data I could find inside LSA FiDeL 20.04.2009

  4. 2008 validation results: MB I(t), LSA=WISE FiDeL 20.04.2009

  5. Validation results: MB b3(t, …) WISE <> LSA FiDeL 20.04.2009

  6. Validation results: MB b3(t, …) WISE <> LSA FiDeL 31.03.2009

  7. Generated “warning” list for circuits where Iop << Ilow • There are some circuits which at injection operates well below the established ILOW • It applies mainly to a few normal-conducting magnets with unipolar power supplyExamples: MBW, MBXW Iop ~ 40 A but Ilow=100A • MQWB Iop ~ 1 A but missing measurements to characterize below ~ 30 A • List given to Marco FiDeL 20.04.2009
