  3. IN THE FOREST THERE WAS A BIG TREE Deep in the Forest stood a very tall tree with leafy branches spread out like strong arms. This tree was the home of a flock of wild geese. zeenat

  4. In the tree top lived some geese zeenat

  5. Oneday the wise old geesenoticed a creeper growing at the foot of the tree. Do you see that creeper? ..Let us destroy it. Why must we destroy it? zeenat

  6. “My friends.” .”.that little creeper will soon grow. As it creeps up this tree, it will become thick & strong.” “What of that ?” ..”What harm can a creeper do us”. zeenat

  7. “Don't you see? “ ..“with the help of that creeper, it will be possible for someone to climb this tree. A hunter can come up & kill us all.” “Well there's no hurry.” ..“the creeper is very small. It would be a pity to destroy it now.” zeenat

  8. “Destroy the creeper while it is still young"." Now it is tender & you can cut it easily. Letter it will become hard & you will not be able to cut it “We'll see, we'll see.” zeenat

  9. As the creeper grew, it began winding it's way up the tree. Stronger & stronger it become, until it was as strong as a thick rope. One morning when the geese had gone out in search of food, a hunter came to the forest. “so this is where the wild gees live”. “ When they come back in the evening, I shall catch them”. zeenat

  10. The hunter climbed up the tree with the help of the Creeper & Spread his net there. I will come tomorrow morning to take the geese . zeenat

  11. In the evening, the gees returned home. They did not notice the net. As they flew into the tree & trapped. They struggle hard to get out, but could not. “ Help! He…l…p! “We are caught in the hunter's net. Oh! What shall we do?” “Don't make a fuss now,” Long ago I told you to destroy the creeper, but you did not. Now see what has happened. Tomorrow morning the hunter will come back & kill all”. zeenat ..

  12. “ We were foolish”. ..“We are very sorry we did not listen to you. Please tell us what to do”. “Then listen carefully.” ..“When the hunter comes you must all pretend to dead. Just lie still. The hunter will not harm dead birds. He will throw us to the ground.” when last of us has thrown down, we must quickly get up & fly away. zeenat

  13. In the morning the hunter came to the tree & Climbed up. He looked at the gees in the net. “They are all dead”, he muttered to himself. He threw them out of the net one by one. The birdslayStill until the last one had been thrown. Then , all at once, they got up, flapped their wings & flew away. The hunter was taken by surprise. So if our Parents & Teacher tell us to do on time. We have to do according to them , if we don't do according to them then we will suffer like the Geese. zeenat

  14. Tomorrow morning when the hunter comes,don’tmove.Pretend you are dead till the hunter throws all of you out of the net. O.K. zeenat

  15. The geese pretended to be dead.The hunter thought the geese were dead and one by one threw all the geese out of the net.When all the geese were out of the net ,the old geese said- “Fly together”. zeenat

  16. And all the geese flew away and saved themselves from the hunter. zeenat

ANS- The old bird advised the other bird to destroy the creeper because When the creeper will grow, it will become thick and strong easy to climb. Q3) Why did the geese cry “Help Help”? ANS- The geese cry ‘help help’ because they were caught in the hunter’s net. Q4) What did the hunter do when he thought that the geese were there? ANS- The hunter threw them out of the net one by one. Q5) Why did the geese pretend to be dead? ANS- The geese pretended to be dead because the hunter will not harm dead bird and he will throw out all the bird from net to ground and it will be easy for them to fly away.
