Introduction Our vision and Mission is to provide access to quality and affordable education to all, with an intention to provide relevant knowledge and skill based on the needs of the citizens so as to enable them to be self reliant, responsible and productive Three main goals in the Ministry Of Education as outlined are: Expand equitable access to education to enable all to benefit Improve quality and relevance of education to reduce dropout and repetition and promote effective learning Improve governance and management of the system to enable more effective and efficient delivery of services.

Count- EMIS in Southern Sudan started in 2006. In 2006 & 2007 focused on primary education. In 2008 EMIS covered primary, Secondary, Alternative education system, Vocational , Technical and Universities. EMIS 2008 Education Statistics now widely disseminated to various MoEST, directorates, SMoE, Donors and NGos. EMIS 2008 statistical reports are now available on website(http://southsudan.ed-assist.net)

Count- • Participants include; Primary & Secondary Head teachers, Payam education Supervisors, County Education Directors. • Alternative Education System (AES) centres training conducted by AES Inspectors. • Training workshops conducted at the County Education Headquarters or nearby school. • Every School /Centre will receive two questionnaires (One copy for the School and another for GOSS EMIS Office
