Thermal Protective PerformanceTPP “How much protection does a fabric or composite provide from heat and flame?” • Test developed in the 1970”s by Dupont and the U.S. Military. • Measures the heat and energy required on a fabirc or composite to cause a second degree burn behind the fabric or system. • BOTTOM LINE: Gives us a rough idea of the protection that a fabric can provide in flash fire.
