  2. Destiny • All employees have a Destiny account. • User names and passwords are new. They are your Novell user name and password. • All students have a Destiny account. • Students’ user names are their student number. Students’ passwords are the same passwords they use for Renaissance Place. You can find student numbers/passwords on the Shared Drive.

  3. How students are using Destiny • Students can access their accounts to see what they have checked out and when books are due (My Info). • Students can search for books for a particular subject. Interest levels and reading levels are available in most cases. (Catalog). • Students can use Destiny to check if a book is available and to locate it in the library (Catalog).

  4. Destiny for Staff All staff can access their accounts to see what they have checked out and when books are due (My Info). • All staff can search for books for planning lessons or units. Interest levels and reading levels are available in most cases. You can create lists and recommend titles for students (Catalog). • All staff can use Destiny to check if a book is available at any Currituck County school.

  5. Using the catalog • Using the basic and visual modes are the fastest and easiest ways to search for books. • When searching by “title” it must be spelled correctly. It is not necessary to use “the” or “a.” • Mainly search for curriculum by using subject not keyword.

  6. Other tips • The address for accessing Destiny at home is http://destiny.currituck.k12.nc.us. • You can also check with the public library at www.earlibrary.org. • For videos we now have Learn360 at www.learn360.com. Faculty and staff can login using their full email address as the username (ex. pobriant@currituck.k12.nc.us). The temporary password is currituck. Users will change the password after the first login.
