  5. Syllabus – Grade Policy • Two Examinations: • 25 ~ 30 % each • Open book • Exercises • 35 ~ 40 % total • 4 ~ 5 exercises • One term project • Presentation and research • 10%

Syllabus – Prerequisite • Background Knowledges • It is better to have taken • “System Administration” (計算機系統管理) • “Introduction to Networking” (計算機網路概論) • Environment • One dedicated PC (Or you can use virtual PC.) • With Unix-like OS installed (e.g. FreeBSD, Linux, Sun OS, …etc.) • FreeBSD is recommended, for the reason of TA supports. • One extra IP • Yourself • Attend every class • Read book at least 6 hours every week • Collect information on the internet • Play with your FreeBSD at least 10 hours every week
