Introduction to Web Technologies • Indicative Content: • Analysing user requirements • Initial design and documentation techniques and considerations to develop a small website • Designing and optimising unique web images using a drawing or paint package • Use of web authoring package or text editor to create a website

  4. Introduction to Web Technologies • Indicative Content (cont.): • Use of web standards to create websites e.g. XHTML, CSS • Use of common web components such as tables, images, text etc. • Use of media including items such as video, sound, images, text • Testing strategies

Introduction to Web Technologies • Assessment: • Portfolio: 2000 words weighted at 100% • Devise, justify and realise a web site to fit the requirements given to you • Assignment will include both • Design component • Implementation component • The web site should be supported by a written report of 2000 words.
