  1. Cyber bullying Lauren Jones Mr. Bourne BTT1O Friday June 13 2014

  2. Introduction to Cyber Bullying • The topic of cyber bullying is a serious issue. • Gathering information about how others have felt and dealt with this issue will help to research it more. • Graphs to show collected data. • Different questions showing different results for each survey answered. • Cyber bullying is an over the internet issue mostly among teens. • Comments made from the bully can be harsh and mean towards someone weaker or smaller than they are.

  3. Question 5 Chart: Explanation • I find this graph interesting because there is no one who was surveyed who was bullied by someone younger than they were. • This graph shows data indicating that 2 people were bullied by someone they don’t know and have never met. This is not right, people who don’t know you personally cant just look at a picture of you and judge you.

  4. Data for Question 5 Question 5: If yes, by whom were you cyber bullied by? (select all that apply) By a friend or school mate - 1 By a stranger / someone you don’t know - 2 People outside of school - 2 people older than you - 1 People younger than you - 0 N/A - 3

  5. Summary • I find it interesting that the people who were cyber bullied still continued on using the program they were bullied on. • Facebook is the most popular website that is used for cyber bullying. • I am surprised that all surveyors responded to saying that being cyber bullied affects the way you think about the internet, but the responses from the surveyors said that they still use the program they were bullied on. • 4 out of 7 people surveyed have been cyber bullied in the past. That is more than half!

  6. Conclusion • What do these trends mean for society? These trends for society mean that it is falling apart, there are many bullies out there who are putting people down and ruing their lives. • How can we deal with any negative trends? To help deal with these negative tends we can block unknown people on our computers/devices, or report any negative attention from people to the police and have them deal with the issue. • Who’s responsibility is it to make any necessary changes regarding this issue? In your opinion what should be done? In my opinion bullies should be fined and punished for what they have done to others. It is the people who stand by and watch this happen to report the problem to the police and help out. It is also the person being bullied responsibility to stop the bully and set him/ her straight and tell them what they are doing is wrong.

  7. Infomercial This video shows how cyber bullying is wrong. An infomercial explaining that if you cant say something to someone's face you shouldn’t send it in a message to them. If the video above doesn’t work try this. -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdQBurXQOeQ
