Advanced- 93 Regular- 104 DO: Today we will review the characteristics of protists.

  3. Protists obtain energy 3 ways: 1. Use sunlight and convert into energy 2. Eating other organism 3. Absorbing nutrients from surroundings Plankton- organisms that drift in water

  4. 1.4- Protists are a diverse group of organisms pg 30. Read pages 30-35. Take notes including the vocabulary below in your science notebook. Answer questions 1-3 on page 35 in complete sentences in your science notebook. Advanced- pages 93-94 Regular-pages 104-105 Vocabulary/Notes: Algae (ch. 1.4 pg 30) Plankton (ch. 1.4) Protozoa (ch. 1.4) Procedure: • Read section 1.4 • Answer questions 1-3 on page 35 in your science notebook • Work on the “Reinforcing Key Concepts” worksheet (complete section 1.4 on page 47 & 48) • Work on science fair
