  2. Avril Lavigne (Avril Ramona Lavigne) is a pop-rock singer-songwriter and is French Canadian. She was born September 27, 1984 in Belleville, Ontario. She has enjoyed success sinced the early 2000s. She has sold35 million albums worldwide and 18 million singles.

  3. Biography Family: She is French by her father (Jean Claude Lavigne) and Anglo-Canadian on her mother’s side ( Judith-Rosanne). She spent her childhood years in a small town in Onario. She has an older brother (Matthew) and a younger sister ( Michelle),

  4. Biography Avril Lavigne young Very young she wanted to be a singer. At 12 she wrote her first songs. Passionate about music, she learned to play the guitar alone, She wasinspired & influencedby Green Day and the Goo Doo Dolls. In 1998 she won a contest. This contest allowed herto go on stage with her idol ( a Canadian singer: Shania Twain). The recruter Antonio Reid, discovered her during a festival. Shestoppedher studies at 16 years to devote herself to music.

  5. Music(2002-2003) She moved to Manhattan to write herfirst album. She left Mahattan because her employers imposed rhythms and lyrics. She went to Los Angeles. A year later, she released Complicated (a single) whichwasa greatsuccess, Then Let Go in 2002. She began a world tour in 2003. The album has sold over 16 million copies. With this album Avril Lavigne becamea famous singer.

  6. Music (2002-2003) In 2004 at the ageof 19, she released her second album Under My Skin thatwasverysuccessful. This album is darker, more personal and more rock. It has sold 8 million copies. In 2005 she began a world tour. On stage we see her playing the piano, guitar and drums.

  7. After these twoalbums Avril Lavigne beganto play in movies. She made appearances in Fast Food Nation, The Flock and Over the Hedge. She also began a career as a model. In 2006 she represented Canada at the Olympics singing Who Knows. • In 2006 she married Deryck Whibley, the singer of Sum 41. They divorced in 2009.

This album is pop-punk, it came out in 2007. Upon its release the album wasa success. The first single from this album wasGirlfriend. This title is translated into several languages(French, Japanese, German…).

  10. I chose this because Avril Lavigne is my favorite singer. She is very pretty and I love herstyle. I have alwayslovedher. Hersongsare greatbecausetheyhave all differentstyles. Sometimestheyare very rock songs (I love listening to themwhenI’m angry). Sometimes more calm and relaxing songs thathelp me relax. I love a songby hercalledI Can Do Better , whichisaddressedto herex-boyfriend. In this song she says « I could not give a damn what yousayto me ». Another song that I love is « Contagious ». This a love song.
