  1. Red Aloe (Rumor) Introduction RedAloeVera Red Aloe (Telugu) is a Red colored Aloe Vera plant manufactured by a chemical process known as Ascent of sap[1][2] in laboratories. But it is often confused with many species of aloe which display various shades of red colors at drought conditions due to optical property. Ascent of Sap process In Colleges and Labs, fresh Aloe Vera plant is subjected to injection of Eosin Solution through Xylem cells by the process of Ascent of Sap. Few hours later, the chlorophyll cells in the plant are completely filled with the red color and hence the plant, including leaves, stem and roots gain red color externally as well as internally. As a result, the cells of the plant are broken and the plant dies gradually. This is a botanical laboratory experiment which is commonly done by students in degree colleges. Rumors Since many years, a rumor is persisting in India that Red Aloe Vera is a miraculous plant that is very rarely available in the wild., and the plant has high medicinal values and magical powers. Some Manufacturers in India produce these kind of plants in the name of Red Aloe and gives them to market mediators, who in turn apply some soil at their roots, to make the purchasers believe that the plant is being brought from a very deep forest. It was known that a kilogram of plants are claimed to be costing up to lakhs of Rupees. However, there were no known incidences of customers purchasing these plants at highest prices or lowest prices.
