  1. ZeRUM: Laboratory For Performing Arts WITH young people

  2. ZeRUM: Communicate Performing arts to young people Professional theatre Young people/ Schools

  3. Our goal We don't sell tickets (at first) BUT… We want children and young people to be able to make a QUALIFIED choice whether they want to buy tickets or not HOW? By making sure that they as an audience, are ready to face the ”new language”

  4. (the exciting part)Method We teach the ”new language”, by letting children and young people use the ”new language”. They learn it by doing it, and get motivated by trying it themselves. Then you are a theatre school? No we educate the future audiences not actors

  5. Five examples on how we communicate live art in a digital world • 1. How can we put young peoples thoughts on performing arts into a higher perspective? • 2. How can we improve the motivation of school classes before a theatre play? • 3. How can we make theatre attractive for young people to participate in? • 4.How can we make it attractive for teachers to use theatre methods in their teaching? • 5.How can we combine theatre with school subjects?

  6. Symposion withyoungpeople • How can we put young peoples thoughts on performing arts into a higher perspective? Step down from your performing pedestal and work together. Let young people know, that theatre is not only film. Let them know, that you, honestly, want to learn from them too.

  7. Perform your way to the theatre (Before workshop) 2. How can we improve the motivation of school classes before a theatre play? Work with objects from the play. Create presence.

  8. Young people as a part of theatre life 3. How can we make theatre attractive for young people to participate in and look at? Develop new ways together. Ask the youngsters, what they think, and which themes they are interested in. Let them use the theatre as if it was their own. http://www.zebu.nu/zerum-en/917-2/

  9. Theatre in education 4. How can we make it attractive for teachers to use theatre methods in their teaching? Use the teachers language. Use the language of theatre to show that the exercises are used in real life by real actors. http://www.zebu.nu/zerum-en/917-2/

  10. Language and theatre practise 5.How can you combine theatre with school subjects? If you have worked with theatre in school, you will later on have a shorter way to the theatre. http://www.zebu.nu/zerum-en/917-2/

  11. It's expensive and we are a small theatre!
