Work-life Quality Background/Programs • Work-life quality was consistently the most common employee concern raised in PEP employee focus groups in emerging markets • Work-life quality is consistently cited as a Top 5 factor in attracting and retaining talent in emerging markets (Mercer, 2011) Impact/Results • Health & wellness programs, including work-life quality contributed to PEP ranked as 3rd best place to work in the UAE in 2011 Great Place to Work Survey • Ranked 4th best place to work in 2012, with PEP employees rating PEP’s work-life quality efforts 17 percentage points higher than employees working for other large UAE companies (82% PEP favorable vs. 65% UAE market) • Significant improvement in sector-wide OHS scores between 2009 and 2011, with 9 percentage point improvement in how professionals rate work-life quality programs and 23 percentage point improvement in how B1+ executives rate work-life programs

Dubai Example • Work-Life Quality: • In Spring 2010, flexible working policies were launched in Dubai: • Flex Day • Flex Time • Flex Place • Approximately 20% of associates in Dubai now follow a Flex Day/Time/Place arrangement, with most associates benefiting from Summer Hours, Days in Lieu and Carry Over Days • One Simple Thing - All PepsiCo associates include a work-life quality in their annual objectives, which counts towards their performance reviews • Improved application process - on-line submission • HR automatically informed as soon as a flexible working request is submitted, making it easier for HR to be a partner in the process • Flexible Working Arrangements are stored on associate’s personal online profile • Days in Lieu • Part-time • Carry Over Days 3
