  2. ADVANTAGES Find out about services such as Council Tax, Housing Benefits, Education Grants and Teaching Jobs. Forms can be downloaded. Payments can be made online for Council Tax. Saves having to travel to the council offices in the city centre. Information available 24 hours per day. DISADVANTAGES If no internet connection at home, will need to go into town or make phone calls to find out information. May take a while to get hold of someone on phone. Offices not open 24 hours per day. Having to queue in the Council office and wait to see someone. Liverpool City Council Website

  3. ADVANTAGES Security cameras in shops and city centre. Helps police and security staff. Can be used as evidence in court. 24 hours per day. Cameras can be hidden. DISADVANTAGES Expensive to install. Picture quality may be poor on cheaper ones. Prone to vandalism. 2. Data Capture – CCTV

  4. ADVANTAGES Can access money 24 hours. Saves having to go inside the bank and withdrawing over the counter. Can access other services such as balance enquiries. Available on the high street, and in pubs and restaurants. DISADVANTAGES Can be prone to vandalism / attempted theft. Daily withdrawal limit. Charge can be levied, particularly in pubs / restaurants. In remote and dark locations, fear of crime and attempted robbery. 3. Finance – ATMs (cashpoints)

  5. ADVANTAGES Allow you to view TV shows and information on the move. Costs the viewer nothing (no electric, no TV licence) Communal screening of major events, like football matches. Develops a good feeling and spirit in the community. Offers chance of people with similar interest to meet e.g. football fans. DISADVANTAGES Complaints it may distract shoppers. Crowds get in the way of other people moving around. May lead to uncontrolled drunkenness and violence. Initial cost to the Council Tax payer is expensive. 4. Entertainment – BBC big screen in Liverpool City Centre
