  3. For still our ancient foeDoth seek to work us woe

  4. His craft and pow’r are greatAnd, armed with cruel hateOn earth is not his equal

  5. Did we in our own strength confideOur striving would be losingWere not the right Man on our sideThe Man of God’s own choosing

  6. Dost ask who that may beChrist Jesus, it is He

  7. Lord Sabaoth, His nameFrom age to age the sameAnd He must win the battle
