  • Parenthetical Reference

  • Regular Formatting = Four or less lines of prose
  • Block Formatting = Four or more lines of prose
    • Remove quotes
    • Free standing block of text
    • New Line, indented one inch
    • Parenthetical Reference should come after the closing punctuation mark

  • Periods, semicolons, commas = AFTER the Parenthetical reference
  • Question marks & Exclamation points in the physical text go INSIDE the quotations.
  • Quotations go around the stated text.
