  2. What is it? When bacteria is not washed out of the body by urine, kidney infections (pyelonephritis) occur. Symptoms a fever of more than 102 degrees abdominal, back, side, or groyne pain Urination that is unpleasant or scorching Urine that is cloudy Urine with pus or blood Urination that is urgent or frequent Urine with a fishy odour
