The NSS asks… … a range of questions about your course experience • The teaching on my course • Learning opportunities • Assessment & feedback • Academic support • Organisation & management • Learning resources • Learning community • Student voice • Overall satisfaction www.thestudentsurvey.com

  4. How are the results used? The NSS results are made publicly available to help prospective students make informed decisions of where and what to study. Universities and colleges are provided with the anonymised data to help them identify areas where they are doing well, as well as areas for development, for the purpose of improving the student learning experience for future generations of students. www.thestudentsurvey.com

  8. It’s your University. Complete the NSS • Ipsos MORI will send emails inviting you to take part in the survey from Monday 28 January until Tuesday 30 April • You can now complete the NSS online using a PC, smartphone or tablet • The NSS respects student privacy. At no point will you be identified to the university or college; your responses are anonymised www.thestudentsurvey.com

Communicationsabout the NSS • In addition to receiving e-mails from Ipsos Mori, you should also receive; • a letter, via e-mail, from the Vice Chancellor of the University & the President (Education) from Hertfordshire’s Student Union inviting them to participate in the Survey (25/1/19) • a letter, via e-mail from the Dean of their School highlighting responses to previous feedback received and inviting them to participate in the Survey (from 25/1/17) • Publicity about the NSS, on posters and on screens will be on display across both campuses www.thestudentsurvey.com

  10. Join in and win! If you complete the survey prior to 31st March, 2019, you will automatically be entered into the University’s prize draw to win one of ten £300 cash prizes. A prize-giving event will be organised to take place in early April www.thestudentsurvey.com
