  2. Work Smarter Not Harder • Desktop Basics • Create Folders • Finding folders, your classroom or Lab LMC. • Saving to Lab LMC with kids • File –Save As • Labshare- Lab LMC • Teacher Folder – create your own or have one created for you.

Work Smarter Not Harder • Emails and Attachments • Opening documents • Right click on them and open with Word • Emails out of order – click on received and will put them back in date order • Split screen- good for viewing spam folder • Address Book – create distribution lists – parents • New email – to box- New button- distribution list – add new name and email address.

  7. Work Smarter Not Harder • Normal Search –narrow your search • Tiger vs. Tigers • Siberian Tiger • “Siberian Tiger” • Top Blue links • Images and Videos – blocked but can be opened if you ask. • Maps, News and Shopping work.

  8. Work Smarter Not Harder • Advanced Search • Enter keywords, titles etc. • Leave out things – ebay and amazon • File type – PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Pictures- .jpg or .bpm • Lesson Plans –usually comes with worksheets and anything else you might need

It is a great tool for anyone interested in the integration of technology into the curriculum
