T-BLADE 2: FROM CAPACITY TO CAPABILITY • Designed from scratch for the petaflops scalability • 64 Intel Xeon 5500 series CPUs in 7U chassis • Record-breaking density of 18Tflops in a standard 19” rack • Unique air cooling system was designed using computer simulation • Dedicated global barrier network and global interrupt network • Integrated QDR InfiniBand and Gigabit Ethernet switches • 10.5KW power consumption under full load (running Linpack with all IB ports populated with active cables) • AMD- and GPU-based blades are planned for 2010
