  4. Hiawatha Wampum Belt • Represents the Original Five Nations

  5. Two Row Wampum Belt • Represents a treaty of peace between the Haudenosaunee and the Dutch settlers

  6. The George Washington Belt • Represents the alliance between the United States and the Haudenosaunee

  7. The Keepers of the Wampum • The Onondaga Nation are known as the keepers of the wampum.

  8. A Message of Truth • As long as a messenger carried a wampum string or belt, everyone knew that the messenger’s words were true and could be trusted.
