  5. Erlenmeyer Flask The triangular shape of the Erlenmeyer flask aids in the mixing of the liquid inside. When you swirl the flask, the liquid moves up the sides without coming out the top.

  6. Watch Glass to evaporate a liquid, to hold solids while being weighed, or as a cover for a beaker.

  7. Petri Dish use to culturecells, which can be bacteria, animal, plant, or fungus.

  8. Test Tube Used for combining or collecting chemicals

  9. Test Tube Rack Device used to hold several test tubes

  10. Rubber Stopper Made from rubber, prevents chemicals from coming out of test tubes or flasks

  11. Test Tube Holder Holds a single test tube while it is being heated.

  12. Test Tube Brush Used to clean inside of test tubes

  13. Cork Stoppers Made from cork wood, prevents chemicals from coming out of test tubes or flasks

  14. Eye Dropper Creates small drops of liquid

  15. Spatula used for lifting and moving substances or solutions

  16. Stirring Rods Used for stirring solutions and chemicals together

  17. Forceps used for grasping, manipulating, or extracting materials

  18. Scalpel A sharp knife used for cutting

  19. Thermometer Used for measuring temperature

  20. Funnel Used for conducting liquid or other substance through a small opening, as into a bottle, jug, or the like.
