  1. Science Fair Project <Effective of caffeine on plant’s growth> Jenny Na, Naomi Lee, Sophia Han Ms. Rebecca Czekalski Korea International Christian School

  2. Statement of the Problems - If we water a plant by caffeine mixed with water, will it grow faster?

  3. Project Overview - We planted two tomato plants. We watered one plant by caffeine mixed with water and watered another plant with plain water. By this experiment, we found that the effect of caffeine on the plants.

  4. Research • Caffeine effects people to tense • Stimulant is made of caffeine It temporarily affects the people’s body to be active • Increases the function

  5. Variables - Controlled Variable : sunlight, soil, air, same amount of soil - Independent Variable : water mixed with caffeine - Dependent Variable : the height of each plant

  6. Hypothesis - If I water a plant with water mixed with caffeine, then the plant with caffeine will grow faster.

  7. Materials - 2 pots - 2 tomato seeds - 10cc of caffeine each day - 400ml of water each day

  8. Procedure • We planted tomato seeds and water them by 400ml of water • We stared to give 10cc of caffeine mixed with water to plant #1 and original water to plant #2 • One day we led both plants to water by rain

  9. Data / Observation

  10. Conclusion - We discovered that caffeine didn’t had an effect on the plants

  11. Future Research To improve our science fair project we need to measure the amount of caffeine and test it to find out that which amount of caffeine is fit to make the tomato plant to grow larger.
