  1. Wax Dissolver Job(offshore) for tubing string and downhole cleanup for ONGC Mumbai Asset A Case Study

Problem Statement ONGC Mumbai Asset came out with an urgent requirement for cleaning of its offshore wells due to severe paraffination in the tubing area leading to decresed productivity and sometimes difficulty in conducting wireline operations due to blockage. A tender Y13NL1003 was floated and to carry out clean up jobs by utilizing the services of suitable companies.

  3. Evaluation Methodology • Deva Drill Tech(I) Ltd was awarded this job after intense technical and commercial evaluation. • A Wax clean up job for 5 wells were taken up on a ‘NO CURE NO PAY BASIS’ • Success of the job was completed after a dummy gauge run to determine the effectiveness of the job

  4. Field Application Results • Calculated quantity of our proprietary chemicals DEVA WXD-901 were pumped in the tubing string to clear any wax buildup • After carrying out the job on the 5 wells as per our detailed job plan ONGC carried out the dummy gauge runs to ascertain the success or failure of the job carried out. • ALL 5 WELLS WERE SUCCESSFULLY CLEANED AS PER ONGC REQUIREMENTS
