  16. Sintese das políticas • Os bens minerais pertencem ao Estado. Nos anos 1990 quase todos os países do continente seguiram uma onda liberalizante ao permitir a inversão estrangeira • Com o crescimento da extração e dos preços, aperece uma tendência a partir de meados dos anos 2000 de mudar a legislação a fim de ampliar a participação governamental nos benefícios da mineração . • Ao longo dos anos 2000 também crescem as pressões sociais,políticas e ambientais

  17. empleo • Promedio de 2% de la fuerza de trabajo • Chile = 2,2%, en 2009 • Para cada trabajador directo se crean entre 4 y 5 trabajos adicionales (Lagos et al.,2010) • El porcentaje real de empleo de la minería en los países sudamericanos con alta influencia minera en su economía puede llegar a cifras del 7 a 10% de la fuerza de trabajo. • Considerando que cada persona empleada tiene una familia de 4 personas en promedio, se obtiene que la proporción de la población cuyos familiares más cercanos están vinculados a la minería alcanzan números importantes en Chile (20% de la población), Perú (9%), e incluso Brasil (cerca de 8%).
