  1. What’s New in Fault Diagnostics 15.2

  2. Overview The Fault Diagnostics upgrade to 15.2 specification will be split into two upgrades for this release, the first on 29th May and the second on 29th June The 15.2 release will include four new stand alone test tools: • DLM data tool – Delivery 29th May • Copper line test – Delivery 29th May • Network Incident check – Delivery 29th June • Consistency check test – Delivery 29th Juneand the removal of the existing Incident check – Delivery 29th June

  3. Dynamic Line Management Data tool

  4. DLM Data tool The DLM data tool will provide the following information • Sync rate – Speed at which user has sync’d with DSLAM • Service speed – DSL speed allocated to that circuit • BRAS profile – Displays the BRAS profile • Noise Margin – Displays the noise margin in dB’s • Run Mode – Indicates if the circuit is Interleaved or in Fast mode • Interleaved – Shows whether interleaving is on, off or auto • Maximum Stable rate – Shows the MSR for the circuit • Fault Threshold rate – Shows the FTR for the circuit • Maximum Stable rate reset – Shows whether the MSR has been reset • Timestamps – Shows date and time that events occurred

  5. Copper Line test The Copper line test will display: Test Outcome – This will inform the user of the test outcome, usually pass or fail Proposed repair actions – This will display the recommendation, e.g. re run test with intrusion consent Additional text – Any further information Description – Result of line test Diagnosis code – Displays the code returned by Openreach to BT wholesale MFL – Main Fault Location – this is supplied to BTW by OPenreacxh and would display the location of fault, i.e. Exchange fault The copper line test will provide a test Outcome,

  6. Network Incident check The copper line test will provide a test Outcome,

  7. Network Incident Check The Network Incident check will provide the following information • Trouble tickets – Details of any trouble tickets found that may affect the circuit which is under test • Major Service Failure information – Details of any MSF that may affect the circuit which is under test • Planned Engineering Works - Details of any PEW’s that may affect the circuit which is under testIn addition to the above information, there will be a summary result detailing whether an Incident has been found that may be affecting the circuit under test

  8. Consistency check The copper line test will provide a test Outcome,

  9. Consistency Check The Consistency check will provide the following information • BIP Service speed – DSL speed allocated to that circuit • BIP Fault Threshold – Shows the FTR for the circuit • BIP Resync – Displays details of any re sync operations • ADQDSLAM Summary – Shows the summary result of the consistency check with a test outcome and description, e.g success, failure etc • BRASDSLAM Summary - Shows the summary result of the consistency check with a test outcome and description, e.g success, failure etc
