  3. PROJECT TITLE BLUETOOTH IMAGE AND GSM TEXT DISPLAY BOARD

  4. AIM OF THE PROJECT The main aim of this project are: • To understand the full internal circuitry of Microcontroller. • To understand the GSM architecture. • To receive mobile signal using GSM Modem • To provide led driver circuit for LCD display board. • To learn the concepts of Embedded System and implement the same. • Enhancing Programming skills (mainly in Assembly level language/C). • To design the hardware circuits.

  5. ABSTRACT • The GSM based e-notice board also called Campus Display System (CDS) is aimed at the colleges and universities for displaying day-to-day information continuously or at regular intervals during the working hours. • Being GSM-based system, it offers flexibility to display flash news or announcements faster than the programmable system. • GSM-based campus display system can also be used at other public places like schools, hospitals, railway stations, gardens etc. without affecting the surrounding environment. • The CDS mainly consists of a GSM receiver and a display toolkit which can be programmed from an authorized mobile phone. It receives the SMS, validates the sending Mobile Identification Number (MIN) and displays the desired information after necessary code conversion. It can serve as an electronic notice board and display the important notices instantaneously thus avoiding the latency. • Being wireless, the GSM based CDS is easy to expand and allows the user to add more display units at any time and at any location in the campus depending on the requirement of the institute.

  6. EXSITING SYSTEM • Currently programmable electronic display are not wireless and SMS based display of information on "LED SEGMENT". • There remains a particular message in the programming phenomenon of the system.

  7. PROPOSED SYSTEM • Text message are displayed in the LED Monitor without pc. • Bluetooth are used to display the notice captured in the mobile camera. • LED monitor are hd monitor with display the text and image in colour

  8. COMPONENT LIST • Microcontroller(AT89c51) • Resistance(470,330,1k) • Crystal oscillator(11.0592mhz) • Capacitors(33pf,10MF,1MF) • MAX 232 • GSM module(Simado GDT11 ) • SIM card • Power adapter(+5v) • led display( pc monitor) • resistance array(10k)

  11. ADVANTAGES • Faster and more efficient service • Reduces human efforts • Increases efficiency • Reducing delays • Reduces human errors. • Digitalization of all campous. • Low maintance cost • Increase green economy. • Save paper • Long time display

  12. DISADVANTAGES • High installation cost. • Limitations on character Led display.

  13. FURTHER ENHANCEMENTS • Alphanumeric LCD’S have a limitation on size and character display. We can use a LED ARRAY to remove the limitation. • Robots can be controlled in a similar fashion by sending the commands to the robots. These commands are read by using AT commands and appropriate action is taken. • Farmers can turn on or off pump and drippers via gsm modem.

  14. WORK DISTRIBUTION AMONG TEAM MEMBERS • KOTHANDAPANI,AMIRTHAKUMAR: Drilling, Etching and component mounting, Documentation. • VIJAYBABU,ARAVINDH,AMIRTHAKUMAR: PCB designing on EXPRESS 7PCB or DIPTRESS, simulation on PROTEUS ,soldering. • ALL THE 4 MEMBER: Circuit designing, Coding, Debugging, Component purchasing, Documentation.
