The Multi-City Initiative aims to enhance HIV testing rates among men who have sex with men (MSM) in six cities heavily impacted by HIV: Bangkok, Chengdu, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Manila, and Yangon. Focusing on Bangkok, where 1.3% of MSM are HIV+, the 2012 data showed MSM accounted for 41% of new HIV infections. Targeted at young gay men, the initiative leverages social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to integrate HIV testing into their routines, encouraging safe sexual practices and community engagement.
