  1. Objective:  Performances are organized and perfected through directed rehearsal. (9-12.T.3.3.2) • Today we will: Warm up • Discuss theme song assignment

  2. Warm-ups • Vocal and body warmups • Killer Bunny • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2Vduw07_dU • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjxugyZCfuw

  3. A little more choreo • Rum tug tugger • Greek chorus • Some inspiration?

  4. The theme assignment! • Objective: Select a song that our showcase can be centered around  • This song can be performed as an opener or end song   • This song must include the entire ensemble; however, parts can be broken up to have some solo’s, duets, trios, quartettes, entire ensemble   • Think outside the box. It can be a song that is now a solo, that becomes an ensemble, or an ensemble that is moved around to focus on different people.   • As the theme song, all other numbers will link to it, so choose something broad.   • Assignment: In a group or by yourself, come up with that theme song.  • Each group will have a different song   • Once you have chosen a song, check for a minus track and will that minus track work with your idea? (If it needs to be purchased, speak to Boylan)  • Rough out how you want to do it (as an ensemble? Broken in parts?)   • Come up with simple choreo for the chorus that the entire ensemble will do   • Brainstorm at least five other numbers/scenes (solo, duet, ensemble, monologues, scenes) that could link to this piece.   • Things that make you go hmmmm….
