WHAT IS THE OAA-UK • THE OLD ACHIMOTAN ASSOCIATION OF UK & IRELAND. • A LOOSE CONGLOMERATION OF THE VARIOUS YEAR GROUPS OF AKORAS IN THE UK & IRELAND • FOUNDED IN THE EARLY 50s BY A GROUP OF EXPATRIATE TEACHERS AND OLD STUDENTS IN THE UK.(Detailed history available on website=www.oaa-uk.org) • Affairs of OAA-UK run by elected officers on 3 yearly rotating and overlapping terms, as the Executive Committee. • Officers are: Chairman, General Secretary, Honorary Treasurer. A Membership Secretary and Year Group coordinator elected by the Committee. • OTHER ITEMS OF NEWS AND ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE ON WEBSITE. • OAA (GH) – www.oldachimotan.net

  4. THE ACHIMOTA TRUST (UK) • Charity arm of OAA-UK. Established by the AGM of the OAA-UK in 1987. • Governed by a Trust Deed and Accountable to the AGM of the OAA-UK and guided by the Charity Commission of UK. • All trustees are Akoras and appointed by existing Trustees. Meets at least annually. • Financial report of Trust submitted to Charity Commission yearly and also published on trust website=www.achimotatrust.org
