Adding Visual Guides: If the rulers are not visible, chooseView > Rulers (or press CmdR). 2. Drag from the horizontal ruler to create a horizontal guide. 3. Drag from the vertical ruler to create a vertical guide. to remove a guide: select it and drag it off the page
Updating Text: 1. Double-click on the “T” icon to select text 2. Now that old text is selected, you can delete it & add new text
Changing Bkg. Color to Solid Color: 1. Select “Background Color” layer. 2. Double-click the black box to open Color Picker. 3. Pick a new color and click “OK”. 2 3
Changing Bkg. Color to Solid Color: 4. Go to Edit > Fill (or press Shift F5) 5. Fill the contents of your layer with foreground color and click the “O.K” button
Changing The Color of The Gradient: 1. Select “Background Color” layer 2. Double-click the foreground color box to pick new bkg. color. Say “O.K” once the new color is selected. 2 1

Bringing New Images Into Photoshop: If you found your image on the Web: Use “Copy & Paste” to bring it into Photoshop. To copy an image on a MAC, hold down Cmd key and right click on the image. The shortcut for paste is Cmd V. If the image is saved on your drive: Go to File > Open to open it in Photoshop Press Select All (or Cmd A) Copy it (Cmd C) and Paste (Cmd V) into the template file (website_template.psd)
Replacing the Banner Image: Copy & paste yournew image in Photoshop. Place the new image directly above the layercalled “Banner”. Position your mouse pointer over theborder between the two layers and hold down the Option key. When the mouse pointer changes to two overlapping circles, click once to create a clipping mask.
