  5. Descriptive Writing My Favorite Vacation My favorite vacation was when my family went to Salinas because it was relaxing.

  6. My favorite vacation was the trip I took to Salinas with my family. As I sat on the beach, I felt the gentle breeze coming from the ocean. The warm sun was shining on the water making it sparkle. It was so peaceful. The waves crashing against the shore were soothing. It truly was an unforgettable vacation.

  7. Descriptive Writing A description is a picture in words that helps the reader see, hear, taste, smell, or feel something that the writer has experienced.

  18. I will divide you into groups. • Each group will get an envelope • Each student will pick two pieces of paper from the envelope. You are responsible for these tasks. • I will give each group a picture and you will work as a team to write a descriptive paragraph about the photo. • You must cut, color and glue your sandwich together on the paper I give you.
