New Initiatives Revision of Transportation Rail System Safety – Incorporating elements of 49 CFR part 659 (Pilot in Atlanta, GA 1/28 – 2/2/01 – Revised and delivered by TSI). Transit Security Design Considerations - training Course will increase understanding of the benefits of using design considerations in all phases of transit capital planning and execution (Being developed by VOLPE).

    10. 10 Employee Training New Initiatives “National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) For Transit” Training Course – Course will provide transit agencies with tools to comply with NIMS requirements (being developed and piloted by NTI). Security Training Assessment – Assess training offered and delivered at top 30 and smaller 20 transit agencies to create updated training needs assessment (being developed by JHU)

    11. 11 Employee Training New Initiatives Develop a version of the “Warning Signs” CD/video tailored to small and rural transit agencies (this is being developed by NTI).
