  • 2006 Mangrove Assessment, surveyed 38 mangrove ecosystems throughout Grenada and Carriacou.

  • To engage local community groups and government in the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, in a community lead mangrove restoration initiative.

  • Establishment of a research and monitoring system;
  • Increasing community awareness to the significance of the mangrove;
  • Implementation of a restoration and stewardship programme; and
  • Replanting the denuded areas.

  • A reforested and ecologically functional mangrove habitat at the project site.
