  1. A world out of kilter: the “big five” of the resource-intensive countries – China, the USA, India, Brasil and Russia – could decide on more than the half of all globally consumed resources; together with the next 15 countries, they could influence three quarters of the consumption worldwide. On the other hand, the 100 countries with the smallest consumption use only 1,5% of all globally consumed resources together.
