  2. Parris Family Play Trial Betty’s mom is alive during the trials Died four years after the event Rev. Parris had two more kids Thomas Parris, born in 1681 Susahanna Parris, born in 1687 Abigail is 11 or 12 in 1692 A couple of years older than Betty • Betty Parris’s mom is dead • Reverend Parris had only one kid • Betty Parris • Abigail Williams, niece of Rev. Parris, is seventeen

Proctor Family Play Trial John Proctor’s whole family was accused for witchcraft They had three kids Plus another baby Baby name was John The kids names were Benjamin, William and Elizabeth • John Proctor and his wife, Elizabeth Proctor are accused of witchcraft • They had two boys • Plus the baby that the Elizabeth is having • The name of the kids were unknown

Putnam Family Play Trial Thomas Putnam’s daughter wasn’t Ruth, it was Ann Ann Putnam Jr. was the eldest of 6 Ann Putnam Sr. was accused of witchcraft • Thomas Putnam and Ann Putnam had only one kid named Ruth • Was the only one to live out of eight • Ann Putnam was not accused of witchcraft, but she did accuse Sarah Biship

The Afflicted and The Afflicters Play Trial Betty Parris and her cousin Abigail William were the first two to be afflicted They had violent behavior There was no dancing involved in the woods, but there was: Fortune-telling games Stories of magic and spirits from the Caribbean • The first two girls to be afflicted were • Betty Parris • Ruth, aka Ann, Putnam • They were in a deep sleep which they could not wake up from • Tituba, the West Indian slave, supposedly led the girls into the woods and danced
