  7. Sanctity consists in being cheerful always.

  8. Dominic went to find Don Bosco: “ Don Bosco, what am I to do? I want to be a saint!” Don Bosco smiled and said: “Dominic, if you want to be a saint, always be cheerful. Do your duty the best you can. Be a friend of Jesus, and always be a good example to your companions.”

  9. When Laura received her First Communion she made these choices: • First: to be a friend of Jesus always • - Second: to live as Jesus would like and with much love for others • - Third: to do all I can to make Jesus known and loved by all, especially by my mother, who is always very sad

  10. Sanctity Thinking only of oneself This is life! X is not...

  11. Sanctity means giving onself...

  12. Dominic Savio at school in Turin: Dominic played with all of the kids in his class and never left anyone out. He cheered up those who were sad and intervened in fights helping the offenders make peace. Dominic was a friend to all those who were lonely and did not have friends.

  13. Laura, at the Salesian Sister’s school in Junín, Argentina: Laura took care of the poorest children in her school, helping them comb their hair, keep their rooms tidy and explain difficult lessons to them. Laura’s mother lived a very difficult life. She loved her mother dearly and wanted to see her happy. Laura was only 13 years old when she became ill. On her death bed she told her mother that she was offering her life to the Lord as a prayer that her mother would come back to the Church. At laura’s funeral her mother returned to the Church and and remained faithful for the rest of her life.

  14. So what is Sanctity? Be cheerful. Do your duty well. Give to others.

  15. Sanctity is possible!
