Threats: • The danger for the guanaco is the human because people hunt the guanaco to use and sell his wool and his meat. • Is very easy to hunt the guanaco. • North zone: In danger. • Central zone: In danger. • South zone: In danger. • Austral zone: Vulnerable • Habitat: • Guanaco lives in different places of south America. • -In the mountain chains and altiplanes of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, and in Paraguay. • - In Chile: I, III and XII (altiplane, and Patagonia)

  3. Appearance: • Is a wild animal, part of the camelids. Alpaca and Llama are similar to the guanaco but they are tame animals. • Guanaco has long, soft and orange hair but in his stomach is color white. • He has a small head, pointed ear, long and curled neck. And his legs are long and thin. • The male guanaco it’s 1,3 meters high. • Is an animal very fast, agile and curious.

  4. Interesting facts: • -The guanaco accumulates water of vegetation, his food for survives in periods of drought. • The gallop of the guanaco is faster than the horse. • The gestation of a guanaco is for 360 days. • The Herds have seven females, with her babies and a male who protects them.
