New York • Improve efficiency of GLRI implementation • Communicate GLRI successes to new federal and state officials • Encourage increased state investments in environmental funding • Push for Lake Ontario water regulation to restore natural flows and ensure funding through GLEPA • Continue to advocate for GL Compact implementation • Increase state commitment to green infrastructure and sustainable stormwater management

  3. Minnesota • Outreach and education with Congressional members • Educate new MN Governor and staff • Use economics to demonstrate restoration success • Support partners with resources to engage effectively on GLRI • Educate around state matching ability for federal GLRI dollars

  4. Ohio • Make Senator Brown a Great Lakes Restoration champion • Build a strong OH Congressional delegation that champions GLRI funding • Make GLRI a priority for the Governor and his administration • Build collaboration between agencies, NGOs, businesses and other partners • Push State to work with the public to align restoration priorities with state restoration plans • Ensure effective GLRI implementation at the state level

  5. Indiana To build capacity to implement restoration efforts Highlight key projects and long term priorities Establish a method for showcasing successful GLRI projects

Wisconsin • Improve collaboration and communication across NGOs and WI DNR on GLRI projects • Push EPA to increase state agencies role in vetting programs and projects for funding • Develop a Wisconsin Congressional Great Lakes champion • Telling success stories, highlighting economics • Engage the new WI Governor

  7. Michigan • Outreach to new Michigan members of Congress • Engage the media • Secure more money for natural resources within the state budget • Outreach to the new Governor
