  2. Physical Fitness is made up of 5 Components….they are; • Body Composition • Muscular Strength • Flexibility • Muscular Endurance • Heart and Lung Endurance

  3. BODY COMPOSITION • Body Composition is used to describe the percentages of fat, bone, and muscle in the human bodies

  4. Muscular Strength • Muscular strength is most simply defined as the ability to produce muscular force

  5. Flexibility • Flexibility is defined as the range of motion of a joint

  6. Muscular Endurance • Muscular Endurance is the ability of a muscle group or muscles to sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time

  7. Heart and Lung Endurance • Heart and Lung is the measure of how effectively you can do an activity that requires increased oxygen

  8. Examples of Muscle Strength and Endurance Activities are; • Lifting Weights • Jogging • Bicycling • Crunches • Push-Ups

  9. Examples of Flexibility are; • Stretching • Sit and Reach • Calf raises • Hamstring stretch • Quad Stretch • Trunk Flex

  10. Examples of Heart and Lung Endurance are • Jogging • Bicycling • Jump Roping • *ANYTHING THAT YOU PERFORM FOR 15 MINUTES OR MORE THAT MAKES YOUR HEART RATE INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY
